Westfall Local School District is pleased to welcome Mr. Ryan Day as the new Dean of Students at Westfall Middle School. Bringing a diverse background in education, leadership, and student engagement, Mr. Day is excited to begin this new chapter and help build upon a positive, supportive learning environment for our students and staff.
Mr. Day has dedicated his career to education, teaching a variety of history courses at Washington Court House High School, including two courses he developed from the ground up. Throughout his career, he has also served as an advisor for several student organizations and coached multiple sports, demonstrating his commitment to helping students succeed both inside and outside the classroom. He continues to serve as the Westfall Digital Academy Coordinator, a role he has held for the past five years with the district.
After considering a transition into school leadership for several years, Mr. Day felt the opportunity to serve as Dean of Students came at the right time.
As he begins the school year, Mr. Day's primary goal is to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff. He is committed to helping create a school culture where every student feels supported, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Outside of school, Mr. Day enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing his love of travel. He played collegiate basketball for four years at Anderson University in Indiana and has led both student and adult educational tours throughout Europe. His interest in travel also extends into his work as a remote travel advisor, where he helps others plan memorable experiences.
Mr. Day and his wife have been married for 20 years and are the proud parents of three daughters—a high school senior and freshman twins—who attend Miami Trace High School and stay busy participating in soccer, volleyball, basketball, and track. In his free time, he enjoys walking, reading, traveling, and following his favorite sports teams.
